In 2022, Ben Bella books publish, Star Trek: A Book of Friendship, written by Robb Pearlman and Jordan Hoffman, with a foreword from Star Trek: Voyager 's Robert Picardo and Ethan Phillips. It was a fully authorized celebration of Star Trek's most enduring and endearing friendships. This illustration was used in a section of the book dedicated to the specific friendships between a starfleet officer and their pet. This of course, is Captain Archer’s dog Porthos. The original art is hand painted gouache on 12” x 18” cold-pressed cotton paper.
